Respiratory Distress Syndrome

Due to Respiratory distress syndrome (RDS), The baby's lungs many of times unable to perform well in the process of making surfactant. In this situation, preterm baby need extra care while providing oxygen.

Surfactant is a substance which decrease lowers surface tension in lungs. It makes breathing easy. But if newborn faces RDS, this substance is not created well which can cause further issues in breathing.

ARDS is has three categories namely mild, moderate, and severe.
